The pitoresk "Father Vink"-tower

Pater Vink was one of the five beheaded persons in 1635 accused of high treason. Here started the second wall round the town, that was built less than a century after the building of the first one was finished. In the 13th century the town grew so rapidly, that after 70 years its surface expanded three times the original size. So a second wall had to be built to protect the new parts of that mediaeval town.
